Services for Individuals
Mediation
Mediation is an informal and confidential way for people to resolve disputes with the help of a neutral mediator who is trained to help people discuss their differences. The mediator does not decide who is right or wrong or issue a decision. Instead, the mediator helps the parties work out their own solutions to problems. Mediators use various techniques to open, or improve, dialogue between disputants, aiming to help the parties reach an agreement on the disputed matter. Mediation is often sought to resolve disputes such as those involving landlord/tenant, HOA’s, neighbors, the workplace, and commercial transactions. Mediation is also available for cases involving family, divorce, and eldercare.
Fees are based on a fixed rate of $300 per hour which is typically split by the two parties in dispute. Options include a half day (3 hours) or full day (8 hours). In the event the mediation extends beyond the time allowed for a half or full day mediation, $300 will be charged for each additional hour. A mediation date will be scheduled once payment has been made in full. A $500 cancellation fee will be assessed for cancellations made 10 business days (Mon – Fri) or less of the scheduled date for mediation. Please feel free to contact us for a free consultation.
